Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the civil contracting industry. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects, 
including materials, labor, and other expenses. Ensure that budgets are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.

Tendering: Assist in the preparation and submission of tenders, including detailed bill of quantities (BOQ), cost breakdowns, and pricing schedules.

Contract Management: Review and manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, 
and suppliers. Ensure all terms and conditions are met and mitigate any risks 
related to contract breaches.

Measurement and Valuation: Conduct on-site measurements and valuations to ensure that work is progressing as per the project plan and that contractors are paid 
accurately and on time.

Cost Control: Monitor project expenses, identify variances, and implement cost-
saving measures without compromising on quality. Ensure that all financial 
records are accurate and up-to-date.

Change Management: Manage changes to the project scope, including evaluating the financial impact of variations and ensuring proper documentation and approval.

Reporting: Prepare and present regular financial reports, including cash flow 
forecasts, cost-to-complete reports, and financial progress reports to project 
managers and stakeholders.

Risk Management: Identify potential financial risks related to the project and 
propose strategies to mitigate them.

Client Liaison: Act as a point of contact for clients regarding any financial or contractual concerns, ensuring clear communication and transparency.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with 
local regulations, standards, and safety requirements.

Qualifications

Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil 
Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the civil contracting industry.

Technical Skills: Proficient in quantity surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS 
Excel, and other relevant tools). Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in 
Malayalam and English, with the ability to communicate complex financial 
information clearly.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with 
attention to detail in financial and contractual matters.

Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and 
meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Local Experience: Prior experience working on projects in Kerala and familiarity with local construction practices and regulations.

Certifications: Professional certification in Quantity Surveying or Project 
Management will be an added advantage.
